FROM FILM TO ENTERTAINMENT INDUSTRY

As film production technologies are increasingly going digital, the two industries are increasingly recognizing the benefits of working together - hence there is a rising logic to replacing the term "film industry" with "entertainment industry".

For some film companies this means that they subscribe to a wide understanding of the term "entertainment" – an interpretation that leans onto the notion of the "experience economy", which allows a full range of experience-based products to go along with film production.
