Høje-Taastrup has a broad, diversified business profile. There are sizeable concentrations of companies within logistics and transport, IT and administration and retailing.

Great variety
A major company, Copenhagen Markets, is currently in the process of relocating to Høje-Taastrup. In addition, the municipality is home to a great many small and medium-sized tradesmen’s and production companies.

Høje-Taastrup is also home to a cluster of knowledge-intensive companies and institutions, including the Danish Technological Institute, which develops research and technology-based knowledge for the Danish business sector.

The municipality offers excellent potential for the development of new types of business, including within the experience economy.
The municipality has a large, unused capacity for new businesses and can house sizeable units within IT and administration as well as Transport.

Develop and expand
The municipality also has plans for a large, regional recreational area complete with experience parks, an arena, hotels and other overnight accommodation and conference facilities, as well as a major outlet centre.

In the western part of the municipality is the Hedeland recreational area, which offers a wide variety of leisure activities, including a golf course, ski slope, amphitheatre, several riding centres, a veteran railway, lakes for fishing and lots more.

The municipality wishes to maintain and expand its existing position of business strength and to attract new types of business from growth sectors based on the experience economy.

The municipality practices an active, collaborative-oriented business development policy and is always looking to expand municipal services so as to support company requirements in the best possible way. The municipality focuses particularly on assisting and supporting new companies wishing to establish a presence here.
