Culture and attractions
More than half of Lyngby-Taarbæk's area is covered by fields, forests, lakes and streams. You can enjoy the beautiful forest at Dyrehaven, which was planned by King Frederik III in the late 1600s, and you can sail along Mølleåen stream and see the mills where Denmark's industrial era began. From the centre of Lyngby where you find the town's medieval church, it is possible to sail on the local lakes, visit the open-air museum or visit the art exhibitions at Sophienholm.
Lyngby-Taarbæk has a great variety of attractions in scenic surroundings and many other cultural offerings.
